In this tutorial, we're going to take a quick look at how easy it is to speed up or slow down your footage using Flixier.
To modify a video’s playback speed, all you need to do is select it, click on the Video Speed section of the Object Inspector Menu and then use the slider to increase or decrease the playback speed.
The buttons at the top of the slider allow you to easily set it to the most commonly used values.
Alternatively, you can also speed up or slow down your video by holding down the Shift key and dragging on its right edge in the timeline.
You’ll notice that the playback speed of the clip is indicated by this number here. The Rabbit icon means that the video is sped up, while the turtle icon tells you that video has been slowed down.
That’s it! Now you know how to speed up or slow down your Flixier videos! One more thing before you leave: don’t forget that speeding up and slowing down clips changes their duration, which also means they’ll take up less or more space on the timeline, respectively.
If you’re modifying the duration of the clip that’s in the middle of a project, don’t forget to close in any gaps afterwards, or make more room on the track so that your videos don’t end up overlapping!
